The everyday quirks of the globetrotter

One of the problems one has when often traveling as a globetrotter, moving around and visiting different places are the people that you meet. Those people themselves are not a problem (most of the time at least), they are great fun and interesting people. The different cultures bring so much to a group of friends.

The International

Take for example the "domestic". This is an argument with your housemates. But we have as well the "international". This involves an argument between people from different countries, mostly based on perceptions about countries.

The most advanced one is the "intercontinental". You really need a diverse group of international friends, as this involves arguments between different continents.

But the problem of living with internationals is that at some point, everyone moves on. You are always saying goodbye to good friends. And although this "goodbye" doesn't really mean anything anymore nowadays, with Facebook, WhatsApp and all the other tools to keep in touch, it does mean you have friends scattered all over the world.
